DCO² only uses 6% of the IT load to cool and secure the services.

This very low overhead is achieved by using the local wheather to cool the datacenter  and using optimal UPS systems to secure the power infrastructure.

Every powered device is checked on power consumption, and -where possible- is only powered on when needed.

The overall power usage of the building is even lower when you take into account the 430 kVA solar plant that is placed on the roof of the building. This roof is generating about 6% of the total energy need of the datacenter. This is a compensation for the overhead used by the datacenter.

DCO² is publishing its power use to the outside world as soon as the startup phase is over. The current and historical power usage wil be published on a dedicated web page.
