Design DCO²

The full datacenter is being designed “in-house“ with tools like Google SketchUp. The main driver for this is the emphasis in using 10 years of datacenter experience  and to avoid the pitfall of using separate teams for IT and Facility design.

The new datacenter should be as energy efficient as possible on the selected location. As we have to comply with local regulations and having the natural resources of the region, the decisions are very “local” based. For instance, as one of the parameters we used the 3 year measurements of the outside temperature, humidity and pressure from a weather station in the direct neighborhood.
